Pakistan Rejects Trump’s Call to Normalize Relations With Israel

Posted by

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has rejected Donald Trump’s proposal urging Muslim countries to join the Abraham Accords and normalize ties with Israel.

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has reportedly dismissed President Donald Trump’s appeal for Pakistan to normalize relations with Israel through the Abraham Accords.

According to reports, Trump recently suggested that countries including Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan should join the accords as part of a broader Middle East agreement linked to Iran negotiations.

Responding to the proposal, Khawaja Asif said Pakistan should not join any agreement that conflicts with its “fundamental ideologies” and reiterated Islamabad’s long-standing stance on Israel and Palestine.

Pakistan has historically maintained that it will not recognize Israel until an independent Palestinian state is established under a two-state solution framework.
