The buffalo became a viral sensation on social media after attracting huge crowds near Dhaka ahead of Eid al-Adha celebrations. Officials reportedly decided to move the animal to the national zoo after concerns over security, crowd control, and growing public interest.
According to reports, the nearly 700-kilogram animal had already been sold for ritual sacrifice before authorities stepped in. Albino buffaloes are considered extremely rare in Bangladesh, making the animal an unusual attraction.
