Trump Says Muslim Nations Should Join Abraham Accords as Part of Iran Deal

Posted by

Donald Trump says countries including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan should sign the Abraham Accords as part of a broader agreement involving Iran.

President Donald Trump stated that any future agreement with Iran should also include additional Muslim-majority countries joining the Abraham Accords — the U.S.-brokered agreements aimed at normalizing relations with Israel.

According to reports, Trump specifically mentioned Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan, saying these countries should “simultaneously” sign onto the accords as part of a larger Middle East peace framework.

Trump reportedly made the remarks while discussing ongoing negotiations linked to Iran and regional security issues. However, several countries named in the proposal have not officially responded publicly, while Pakistan reportedly rejected linking its foreign policy to the Abraham Accords.

The Abraham Accords were first introduced during Trump’s earlier presidency and led to normalization agreements between Israel and countries including the UAE and Bahrain.
